Opening Day Check-in Process
STEP 1: HEALTH SCREENING
Each camper must check in with a Health Screener to review the Medical Form, check in medications and discuss allergies. Please have medication ready to turn in. If your camper has been sick with vomiting, diarrhea or fever, please wait at least 24 hours after these symptoms subside to bring them to Firwood. In addition, if your camper has been exposed to Covid-19 in the last week or tested positive for the virus in the past 14 days, please do not attend camp. Please notify register@thefirs.org if this is the case.
STEP 2: CABIN ASSIGNMENT
After you have completed the Health Screening, your camper will meet their counselor who will greet you and help you move into your cabin.
STEP 3: HONEY HUT (OPTIONAL)
Each camper will be set up with a Honey Hut account upon registering for a week of camp. Campers may only purchase items at the Honey Hut through the account with funds that have been pre-loaded through the Registration Portal. We suggest adding funds to your camper's account during online registration, however, you will have an opportunity to add funds directly at the Honey Hut during check-in on Opening Day. Camper accounts can also be updated midweek through the Registration Portal. PLEASE NOTE: KIDS ARE UNABLE TO USE CASH THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. THEIR ACCOUNT MUST BE PRE-LOADED.
The Honey Hut will be open for sales during Opening Day if you would like to purchase any merchandise at that time.
STEP 4: PAINTBALL (OPTIONAL)
If your camper would like to participate in paintball during free time, sign-ups and payment are accepted in the parent portal. Online paintball sign ups are limited to 2 sessions per week. If there are still spaces available, sign ups and payment will also be accepted at check-in. Each 2 hour session is $30 and includes all needed equipment and instruction.
