What does a day at Firwood actually look like?

Every experience at camp is carefully designed with two things in mind: giving campers a FUN experience, and giving campers a meaningful experience! We want every camper to leave Firwood with memories they'll love forever!

Morning

Each day starts with the typical wake up, shower, and breakfast - no better way to start a day than sitting around the table with your friends! Every meal at camp is done "family style" with each cabin sitting around the table together!

After breakfast, campers will disperse to their activity classes

What's an activity class?

Activity classes are hour-long sessions where campers get to experience any camp activity of their choosing for the whole week! Love wake surfing? Sign up for wake sports to spend an hour wake surfing each day! Want to learn how to mountain bike? All of our activity classes - including mountain biking - are designed for campers of ALL skill levels to learn and enjoy the best of what camp has to offer!

Afternoon

Spending all that time at those awesome activities sure does leave you hungry! After activities campers head to lunch - and of course, enjoy some goofy skit mayhem while they eat.

After lunch, cabins will spend some time doing a cabin activity!

This is where the whole cabin gets to enjoy the same part of camp at the same time, and gives the campers some fun bonding time before they are turned loose for the quintessential:

FREe time!

I mean honestly, what is camp without legendary free time? This 2 hour block is where campers have the option to do any activity they want! Everything's open - go for an epic tube ride, spend some time in the trees at the high-ropes course, and buy a million RipRolls at the Honey Hut (our awesome camp store)

After the chaos of free time, each cabin will come back together and find a spot around camp to chill out and enjoy a discussion-based Bible study

what does firwood teach on the bible?

Bible studies are designed to be very gospel-centered! Each day campers will hear a story about Jesus and just talk about how it could impact us today. For more specifics on our beliefs, check out our statement of faith here

what if we don't believe in the bible?

That's ok! Camp Firwood is open to campers of all beliefs and backgrounds! We aren't here to force our beliefs on campers, but as a Christian camp we want to give everyone the opportunity to engage with what the Bible has to say!

Evening

At Dinner our awesome skit characters will explain to everyone how team competition is helping them achieve their goals!

Team Comp

Team cheers, relays, and all sorts of crazy camp games make up this high-energy part of the day! Afterall, when there's an end of the week ice cream party on the line for you and your cabin, who wouldn't want to go all out?

Once a victor has been crowned it's back to the waterfront to enjoy some music and the lake views at Center Stage!

What's on the stage?

What's camp without some crazy camp songs? Whether you're singing about bananas or rocking out to a song about Bob (we don't know who Bob is either) - you'll remember the motions to your favorites forever!
After the songs the Camp Speaker will come up an give a short talk about who Jesus is and why He matters to us!
