What Safety Actually Looks Like at Camp Firwood
Here’s how Camp Firwood cares for your child after you drive away.
Campers live in cabins grouped by age and gender with two trained counselors who sleep there, eat with them, walk them to activities, and stay present during free time.
Medical Care and Safety at Overnight Camp
Across camp, we maintain roughly a 3:1 camper-to-staff ratio.
At night, staff remain in cabins and leadership is on-site.
A licensed EMT and/or nurse is available 24/7.
If campers are in the water, life jackets are required.
High ropes harnesses are checked and rechecked before anyone climbs.
Safety and fun aren’t casual here. They are mutual and go hand in hand.
But here what matters most:
Your child isn’t just supervised.
They’re known.
Here’s something to wonder about:
When you picture driving away, what would help you feel at peace?
If you have questions about safety, homesickness, or medical needs, please call our office during business hours at 360-733-6840. We want to help you feel confident in your decision.
