Camp Firwood is a Christian Camp. Here’s What That Means.
At Camp Firwood, we believe clarity is kindness.
So to be clear:
We are a Christian camp.
What It Means That Camp Firwood Is a Christian Camp.
Campers hear about Jesus.
They hear stories from the Bible.
They talk about what they believe in small cabin groups.
And they see faith modeled by counselors.
But here’s what that also means:
Faith here is invited — not forced.
During cabin time at the end of the day, students are encouraged to ask real questions about faith, doubt, and what they’re actually feeling.
We don’t pressure students to say or feel something they’re not ready for.
How Campers Explore Faith and Big Questions
Questions are welcome.
Doubts aren’t shamed.
For Christian families, that means your camper’s faith is nurtured thoughtfully — not hyped, not shallow, but rooted and growing deeper.
For families who don’t necessarily identify as Christian, it means your kid will encounter what Christians believe in a way that’s respectful and open.
Over the last 70 years, we’ve seen that faith — like confidence grows when it’s chosen, not imposed.
Here’s something to wonder about:
What kind of space helps your kid ask honest questions without pressure?
